The corona virus crisis has upended the lives of millions, with no clear end in sight.

Last week alone, new claims for unemployment benefits have grown to the most since 2017. Economists say it’s only the beginning.

As bars, restaurants and shops across the nation shut down to help slow the spread of the virus, swaths of workers are being sent home. For many, that means uncertainty as to when they’ll see a paycheck again.

For those who want to help, it can be hard to know where to start.

As Masons we show that our primary existence is to charity. To look after our Special Ladies, Members and outside society. With this in mine Manchester is setting up a buy a mason a coffee program. Many of us are still employed, and have excess income from all the fast food and coffees we are no longer buying until we are allowed to again go out and visit a local establishment.

Your contribution to Buy a Member a coffee will allow your lodge to provide needed items to out special ladies, members in need and others in the community to help get through this unprecedented time.

A $5 $10 or $20 contribution will not hurt you, but could provide food, toiletries and pet food for someone in need. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00, but will continue until this time of isolation is over.
